My mom was a resident at the Rising Sun for a little over 1 year. We feel so lucky that she spent her last days with the staff and residents at this wonderful facility. This is not just any facility, it truly is a HOME with an incredible sense of community. Clearly this is not just a job for the owners and staff members of Rising Sun….this is their ” calling” or ” mission” in life. Mom received excellent care in a loving environment. During my mom’s time at Rising Sun, my son underwent a bone marrow transplant for leukemia. It was such a comfort to know that mom was in good hands when I could not be there. Thanks to all the staff of the Rising Sun for all you have done for mom and my family.

My dear mother Angeline received not only excellent care at The Rising Sun, but she enjoyed a very loving and homey atmosphere. She called The Rising Sun “home” soon after arriving and she communicated to me that she loved the owners as if they were her family – Nana, Sandi and their children, as well as the wonderful professional staff. She also had developed close relationships with the residents. I would visit her many times during her dinner and she loved the meals; her appetite amazed me and the staff. She also enjoyed the 4th of July barbeque and entertainment events as she loved music. My mom passed away peacefully holding the hand of one of the Staff. She was content and happy and I appreciated that very much and it brings comfort to me. Angeline’s daughter, Linda
